Summer is a time for adventure and exploration! What better way to explore your city or town with your partner than enjoying planned dates for summer?

Although having fun this summer will look different for me with my injury, having fun this summer is still very possible.

We’ve put together a list of 28 cute summer date ideas that will get you excited for the season. These dates are easy to do and don’t require much planning, so you can have more fun!

Romantic Morning Ideas


1. Visit a farmers market together and cook all of the seasonal produce

Incorporating seasonal produce is a great way to meet your daily nutritional needs while also enjoying the summer bounty! Cooking together can be a fun way to bond with your partner and try new recipes.

Visit your local farmers market and see what’s in season. Then, head home and cook up a storm! Try making a dish you’ve never made before or recreating one of your favorite restaurant meals.

2. Go fruit picking

Grab all fresh fruit and make delicious smoothies, juices, or muffins together. This is a fun activity that you can do together and then enjoy the fruits of your labor!

3. Have a picnic in the park

This is probably one of the most classic summer date ideas out there. But it’s classic for a reason, sis! There’s something so magical about picnicking in the park with your partner. It’s simple, yet so special.

So, next time the sun is shining bright, pack up a picnic basket with all of your favorite foods and summer drinks.

Bloomers, you know how much I love riding my bike! And one of my favorite things to do is explore new bike trails with my partner. It’s a great way to get some exercise while also taking in the sights and sounds of nature.

Fishing is a great way to relax and bond with your partner. And, if you make bets on who’ll catch more fish, it can be a fun way to compete with each other! This definitely is an idea for your first summer night outing.

There are often themed festivals or carnivals happening in the summertime. And, they can be a blast to attend with your partner! From music festivals to food festivals, there’s sure to be something that you’ll both enjoy.

So, do some research and see what’s happening in your area!

10. Book an in-person cooking class for two

If you and your partner love to cook, then an in-person cooking class is the perfect summer date idea! You can learn new recipes, bond over your shared love of food, and enjoy a delicious meal that you both cooked together.

I’m so happy to see more cities offering this fun summer activity! Outdoor movies are the perfect way to enjoy a warm summer night.

Pack some snacks and bug spray, and find a spot on the grass to watch your favorite flick. If you want to get extra cozy, bring a blanket to snuggle under. This is such a fun and romantic date idea for summer.

Who doesn’t love a good spa day? If you and your partner are looking to relax and rejuvenate, then consider creating a relaxing oasis at home. You can enjoy massages, facials, and any other treatments that you both desire. And, it’s the perfect way to unwind after a long week.
