1. Family Spa Day
I recently saw this story on Facebook about a mom who started the tradition of scheduling wellness spa days with her daughter and friend and I thought, this is a brilliant idea. You can do this right in your home with some simple supplies.
Set up a relaxing atmosphere in your family room or backyard with soothing music, candles, and blankets. Have each family member choose one spa treatment to do for each other person. You can give foot rubs, scalp massages, or hand massages using essential oils. This is a great way to bond with your family and focus on relaxation.
2. Have A Family Themed Night
Burrowed from my date night post, this could be easily adapted with family. Instead of going out to eat, pick a cultural food theme (like Jamaican or Mexican) and make a delicious meal representing those cultures.
Every person can contribute to making a part of the meal or you can all cook together. After dinner, watch a movie related to the theme or listen to music from that culture. This is a great way to learn about other cultures and spend time with family.

3. Take A Yoga Or Pilates Class
Nothing excites me more than taking classes with familiar people in the room. There’s a sense of community that I love. If you have family members who are interested in taking a yoga or pilates class with you, sign up for a class together! 4. Start A Garden
Growing your own fruits and vegetables is not only rewarding but it can also teach kids where food comes from and how it’s grown. Gardening is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air, and you can even make it a family competition to see who can grow the most!
