When it comes to discussing anything related to Dr. Maya Angelou, I get excited like a young girl. Specifically, a little girl back in Elementary with a similar reverence one would have towards a principal.

Maya Angelou Quotes about women, specifically black women would leave anyone believing that Maya Angelou was a phenomenal woman, too.

I respected her without fully knowing her, the way she strung words together made me want to begin writing poems. If you haven’t read my dedication to Maya Angelou, the original phenomenal woman post, kindly give it a read.

There are few black women in literature that achieve beauty and courage with a single quote, Dr. Maya Angelou is one of them. I’ve learned Maya Angelou means what she says and says what she means.
