One of the most sacred areas in your home is the bathroom. This is where you start and end your day so it should be a space that makes you feel relaxed.

After a long day, there is nothing better than coming home to a bathroom that instantly makes you feel such peace and grounded. You deserve to look forward to coming to your bathroom and being able to experience things like tranquility and relaxation.

If your current bathroom is lacking these things, do not worry! We have gathered some relaxing bathroom ideas to instantly transform your space. Here are 10 relaxing bathroom ideas to help transform your space into a mini oasis.

1. Add some greenery

Bathrooms can tend to be quite sterile so adding some plants is a great way to add some life to the space. Not only do they look good but they help to purify the air as well.

Try adding some plants that are known for their relaxing properties such as lavender, jasmine, or chamomile.

Personally, I love chamomile because they last longer and gives my bathroom that subtle pop of color that I am looking for within the space.

2. Incorporate natural materials

Another way to make your bathroom feel more relaxing is to use natural materials in the décor. A great and affordable idea I have for this is to add a genuine marble stone corner shelf in your shower.

Instantly, this will elevate your shower time and make it feel like you’re at a spa. Adding this marble stone corner will make your space feel like it has more of a theme to it rather than just being a bathroom that you use to do your routine in.

3. Switch Out Your Shower Head

One of the quickest and easiest ways to make your bathroom feel more relaxing is to invest in the area where you actually take your shower. A great spa shower idea is to upgrade your shower head!

There are a ton of different types of showerheads on the market now and each offers its own unique benefits. You can find showerheads that have different settings, produce more water pressure, or even save you money on your water bill.

No matter what your budget is, there is something for everyone. I love a shower head that brings on water pressure and helps me to wake up in the morning.

4. Add a Touch of Color To Your Towels

One way to add some personality to your bathroom and make it feel more like you is to add a touch of color. This can be done in a lot of different ways but my favorite is by adding accessories such as towels and washcloths.

Some of those cooler tone colors to look out for when purchasing washcloths and towels are sage greens, dusty blues, and even lavenders. This gives you that spa bathroom decor that you’re looking for.

5. Invest In Luxury Towels

Nothing annoys my skin more than having scratchy towels. Once I made the switch to softer and plusher towels, it felt like such a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Not only did they look nicer but they also made me feel more relaxed after a nice long shower.

It is worth it to spend the extra money on quality towels that will last you a long time. I usually go for Egyptian or Turkish towels because they are known for their softness and high quality. If you want to feel like you’re at a spa, make sure to get the good stuff!

6. Play Some Relaxing Music

Charge your Bluetooth speaker ahead of time and create a playlist specifically for your relaxing bathroom time. This can be a great way to set the mood and really get into the relaxation zone.

Personally, I love listening to the Kb In Bloom playlist. However, you could also choose to listen to nature sounds or even some light jazz. The options are endless so find what works best for you!

If you have a Bluetooth speaker, this is your me-time so invest in one that you could place on the tile or your shower door.

7. Add A Candle

Adding a candle to the space is another great way to set the mood and make it feel more relaxing. Not only do they smell great but they can also be quite aesthetically pleasing.

I would recommend looking for candles that are made with vegan natural wax, have lead-free wicks, and are made in the USA. This will ensure that you are getting a quality product that is also environmentally friendly.

8. Get A Nice Soap

One way to make your bathroom experience feel even more luxurious is to get yourself a nice soap. My personal favorite was our best-seller soap that was sold right here on the site.

It’s Sage Under A Citrus Tree and we just sold out of it. It’s made with a blend of sage, vanilla, and citrus essential oils paired with a generous amount of lather from the soap. This soap was perfect for those who are looking to evoke a sense of relaxation and balance.

9. Use relaxing colors

The colors you use in your bathroom can also play a big role in how relaxing it feels. Cool blues and greens are often seen as colors that help to create a sense of calm, so try using them as accents in your bathroom.

If changing the tile of your floor is not an option, invest in some nice bathroom floor rugs in cool colors to achieve a similar effect.

10. Add some scents

One of the quickest and easiest ways to make your bathroom feel more relaxing is to add some scents. Aromatherapy is known for its calming and relaxing benefits so incorporating some bathroom plug-in scents or diffusers into your bathroom is a great way to help you relax. Citrus and lavender scents are especially good for promoting relaxation.
